Opus 7 Workshop
Bruker Optics will be running an OPUS 7 workshop to be held on Sunday afternoon the 10th of November 2013, directly before the commencement of the WIRMS 2013 conference at the Mantra in Lorne, Victoria.
This workshop will be run by two of Brukers leading software engineers; Gernot Höhne from Germany, and Diego Sali, from Italy.
The workshop will focus on three main topics:
OPUS 7 Wizard concept
- Workflow
- User input, requirements/ wishes
The OPUS "Chemical imaging window" for basic data analysis
- Sub-windows: concept and capabilities
- Display functions
- Export functions
- Simple evaluation workflow
- Live integration
- Q/A requests wishes
Advanced 3D data evaluation and manipulation
- Integration: interactive and by method
- Peakpick: single, peakpick-method
- Cluster analysis
- Trace manipulations
- Spectra manipulation within 3D files
- Export of results
- Q/A requests wishes
The workshop will feature a series of lectures, providing background on aspects of data collection as well as data analysis using the new version of OPUS 7 software. The second component of the workshop will be hands-on, working through tutorials on OPUS 7 data analysis. The Workshop organisers encourage input from workshop participants with any topics you wish to be covered or any questions you may have. To lodge any requests please contact Andrew Bales at Bruker.
This workshop is aimed at users of the IR beamline at the Australian Synchrotron as well as other Bruker FTIR users or interested participants. The cost for the workshop is $50 per person, which includes lecture notes, a catered lunch and afternoon tea.
